Crowns

Also called a cap, a crown completely covers a weakened or damaged tooth with a natural-looking restoration. With our in-house lab, we can create highly accurate, beautifully natural-looking crowns. Whenever possible we prefer to make all-ceramic and partial-coverage crowns. The more tooth structure we save, the better.

Composite Fillings

When you have a small cavity, Dr. Martinson uses composite fillings to repair your teeth. Unlike traditional amalgam fillings, composites are made of a durable, long-lasting resin that mimics the appearance of your natural teeth. No one will notice that you have a filling.

Porcelain Veneers

With this treatment, Dr. Martinson places thin layers of porcelain over your teeth to hide imperfections, such as cracks or stains, or large fillings. Porcelain veneers can also close gaps and make teeth appear longer or more even.

Whitening

Whitening, or bleaching, is the best and safest way to enhance the appearance of your smile. We use the Zoom! In-Office Whitening System to whiten your teeth in a single visit. Our practice also offers customized bleaching trays if you would like to whiten your teeth at home.

Bridges

While natural, healthy teeth are very strong, it’s easy to lose them through trauma or neglect. Missing teeth can often be replaced with a fixed dental bridge. This is usually three or more crowns that are attached together and cemented permanently on adjacent teeth. When a tooth is lost, the adjacent and opposing teeth all shift to gradually fill in the space. A bridge stops this problem by balancing and stabilizing your bite.

Dental Implants

If you long for the ease and permanence in tooth replacement, talk to Dr. Martinson about dental implants. A dental implant is a small titanium cylinder surgically placed in your jawbone. It acts as a substitute for your tooth root and an anchor for a single crown, or two or more implants may be used as anchors for implant-retained bridges. People often think dental implants will be painful, but this is not the case at all. The jawbone has very few nerve endings, making this procedure almost painless. The majority of patients are pleasantly surprised that after the implant is in place, anesthesia isn’t even needed for the process of making the crowns.

Full Mouth Restorations

In many cases, restoring your smile and dental health involves more than one procedure. Dr. Martinson has done many complex dental restorations. Often it is necessary to work with an orthodontist to correct your bite first. Then your teeth can be lengthened and restored to correct your bite so they will last for life. When you are ready to restore your teeth and smile, and to keep your teeth for a lifetime, Dr. Martinson will create a treatment plan. If you think cosmetic and restorative services are right for you, call our practice at 817.483.6699 to schedule a consultation with Dr. Martinson.
