Over the years, Dr. Martinson has assembled a one-of-a-kind group of dental professionals. While they all have extensive skills and knowledge to treat you, members of our team also have gentle, friendly, and caring personalities to make your visit as comfortable and relaxed as possible.

Our Team

Heather Martinson, DDS

A native of Arlington, Texas, Dr. Martinson studied biology and chemistry at the University of Texas in Arlington before attending Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in southern California. After graduating with a doctorate of dental surgery degree in 1989, she returned home to Texas and has been practicing in Arlington ever since.

Dr. Martinson is licensed to practice dentistry in both California and Texas. Every year she attends a variety of continuing education courses in dentistry to maintain the rigorous requirements of both her licenses. She completed advanced training in occlusion and comprehensive restorative and cosmetic dentistry at the Dawson Center in St. Petersburg, Florida. Dr. Martinson and her team have also graduated from the Schuster Center in Scottsdale, Arizona where theycompleted an advanced training course for dental office teams.

Dr. Martinson is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Texas Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Fort Worth District Dental Society. Dr. Martinson also volunteers with mission dentistry, mainly in Mexico, dedicating her time and skills to people who wouldn’t normally receive dental care. She is on the alumni board of directors at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. Outside of the office, she loves to travel, snow ski, cycle, and scuba dive. She also likes gardening, entertaining, and cooking.

Sylvia Ramos, Registered Dental Assistant

Sylvia Ramos RDA, senior dental assistant, assists Dr. Martinson with treatment and is committed to providing the details of comfort for the patient. She takes great care in making sure your dental experience is comfortable and soothing as possible. Sylvia has 26 years of experience in advanced cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics. After hours, she likes to read, dance, listen to music, watch movies, and see Ranger baseball games with her two sons.

Erika Garza, Dental Assistant

Dorothy Colon, Registered Dental Assistant

Dorothy has been a registered dental assistant for 7 years now and enjoys her work in the dental field. She makes the experience for patient’s fun and relaxing. While working next to Dr. Martinson, Dorothy is always ready to help with a smiling face. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, reading, watching football, and going to movies.

Lana Newberry, Dental Hygienist

Kara Jenkins, College Assistant

Kara is our part time college assistant. She is currently attending Tarrant County College and transferring to the University of Texas at Arlington in the fall. Kara helps the assistants in the back process x-rays and helps in the front office doing administration work. After hours, she likes to go shopping, go to concerts and movies, and spend time with her friends and family.
